This course teaches Vastu Shastra from a designer's point of view: the Vastu Purusha Mandala, orientation, placement of rooms and utilities, and how to correct issues in existing spaces with minimal intervention.

- Introduction to Vastu Shastra: core tenets, Vedic principles and foundational concepts
- Basic Vastu principles: Pancha Mahabhutas (five elements), Ashtadikpalakas (directional deities), energy flow (Prana) and their influence
- Vastu Purusha Mandala: concept, significance, application and spatial geometry
- 9x9 grid analysis: zones (Padas), directional alignments, optimal space utilisation and Gruha Vastu Sutras
- Bhumi Pariksha: site selection criteria, topography evaluation, environmental impact and soil testing
- Site selection for varied constructions: vegetation analysis, elemental balance, directional recommendations and spatial planning
- Orientation (Diknirnaya): importance, environmental harmony and cardinal direction alignment
- Residential Vastu: types of dwellings, elemental integration, directional placements and height considerations
- Architectural elements: staircase positioning, door (Dwara) and window (Gavaksha) placements
- Landscape Vastu: garden design, water feature placement, boundary wall construction and site development
- Main entrance (Mukhadwara): significance, directional placement and energy flow
- Furniture Vastu: placement of beds, seating and storage, aligned with energy grids
- Utility placement: kitchen (Agni Kona), bathroom (Nairutya) and other daily utilities
- Vastu dosha analysis and remedies: missing corners, incorrect toilet placements and clutter management
- Corrective measures with minimal interventions and renovations; remedies through pathways, water bodies etc.
- Resources for advanced study: Vedic literature, scholarly texts, commentaries and documentation for further research
- Debunking Vastu myths: addressing superstitions, clarifying misconceptions and promoting evidence-based practice
